People do not know that periods are normal and healthy and should be treated like any other event in life, yet many young girls across the country still struggle to manage this monthly occurrence.  There are young girls and women who menstruate and use unsafe materials, like tattered clothes, and tissue paper which is a health hazard, some young girls are not always aware of menstruation before their first period, and some people think that periods are dirty.
